This five week audio class is designed to introduce you to the rhythm and flow of the Earth’s wisdom through our relationship with nourishment using the Taoist 5 Element system of nutrition.

The Taoists are one of many ancient cultures who embodied their oneness with nature and followed a way of life to support it.

This course supports you to ground yourself in the energy of each season so you may receive the benefits that each phase of the yearly transformational cycle offers in your soul’s evolution aligned with the wisdom of our Mother Earth.

You’ll receive practical information to apply in your daily life that supports you to balance seasonal meals and nourish all your organ systems that is compatible with your lifestyle. You will be given a foundation that not only mirrors back to you your self- similarity to nature, but it is a spring board for cooking as a sacred art in co-creation with our Divine Mother Earth.

It is a beginning class that lays a basic foundation in which to expand upon and explore how we embody the soul of nature on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

In this course you will learn: 

A foundation in the language of nature & nutrition using the 5 Element System. 

You will have clarity of how food fits within your current lifestyle as a starting point with step by step support in bringing the seasons into your consciousness, food and cooking methods. 

You will end up with a personalized notebook that can be continually added to as a seasonal reference guide and easy recipe book. 

Each class focuses on one of the five seasons & elements to support you to align with it the natural cycle with seasonal foods y optimum cooking methods, and recipes

Each season and element nourishes certain organ systems. You will learn how to nourish them all in a balanced diet, supporting you to shop and eat locally in season

Mary Lane is author of Divine Nourishment, A Woman’s Sacred Journey with Food. She graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 1982. She was chef and owner of the Nob Hill Cafe in Albuquerque, NM, and continued to work as a chef, caterer, recipe developer, private chef for over 40 years. She graduated from Nam Singh’s Academy of 5 Element Nutrition and Cooking with Chinese Tonic Herbs, as well as Plant Spirit Medicine, which had it’s foundation in the Taoist 5 Element System giving Mary extensive insight on not just the nutrition, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual multi-dimensional effect food and our relationship with the natural world has on us. She is an avid forager of wild food, herbs and mushrooms, and still her greatest joy is creating beautiful meals for loved ones that are local, organic, seasonal and foraged.

I participated in a series of seasonal classes with Mary in order to educate myself on the Chinese Five Element system of health. I am a professional cook and wished to learn how to incorporate the principles of this ancient and profound system into my work. Mary presented information to our group in a compassionate and masterful way which I found very inspirational and practical, and made it easy for me to understand and use these principles in my menu planning and preparation, as well as in my daily life. I have great respect for Mary as a teacher, and as a person, and whole heartedly recommend her as a teacher to anyone who wants learn more about how to how to live life in a conscious way.
